BREAK TO RELEASE THE MEDICATION
Slide-off to remove the protective blue paper cover and slide it on the other end – opposite the white applicator tip.
Squeeze the vial firmly on the blue arrow shown on the protective blue paper cap until you hear it snap.
Hold with the white applicator tip down to allow the medication to saturate the tip.
Do not touch the white applicator tip with your fingers.

NUMB BEFORE RUBBING
To minimize pain during application gently touch the site of the cold sore with the saturated applicator tip.
Wait about 30 seconds to allow the pain reliever to numb the area. Numbing lasts several minutes.

RUB
Once the area is numb, rub the site of the cold sore and the surrounding area. Rub firmly to allow the treatment to deeply penetrate the skin.
On open sores – Start by rubbing the surrounding area. Then firmly press the applicator tip to the cold sore. Avoid scrubbing: this will further open the lesion.
It is recommended to use all the medication in the vial.

DISPOSE
Recap the white applicator tip and dispose of immediately. Do not disassemble. Keep out of reach of children.
Note: To treat most cold sores, multiple treatments may be required. Do not use more than 3 times per day. For best result ensure that lip area is free of lips preparations, lotions, residual beverages, or cosmetics, including lipstick.

Warnings
For external use only.
Flammable, keep away from fire or flame.
Do not use
- this product if you have a history of allergy to benzocaine, or other any other ingredient in the product
- in the eyes
- over large areas of the body
- on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns
- more than 3 times per day
Ask a health care practitioner before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Stop use and ask a health care practitioner if:
- the following symptoms appear: weakness, confusion, headache, difficulty breathing, and/or pale, grey or blue coloured lips or nail beds as this may be signs of methemoglobinemia, a rare disorder, which may appear up to 2 hours after use
- conditions get worse or persists after 7 days
- pain or redness persists or worsens
- irritation, swelling, rash or fever develops
- hypersensitivity or allergy occurs
Keep out of reach of children
In case of overdose or allergic reaction, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Centre or medical help immediately.

- For occasional use
- Clean affected area
- Apply to the affected area up to 3 times per day
Do not use in children under 12 years of age
Other Information
- Store at room temperature
- The ingredients in toothpaste, soft drinks, and some fruit juices can deactivate the active ingredient in this product.
- For best results, avoid brushing your teeth with toothpaste or drinking soft drinks or fruit juices for at least one hour after applying the drug.
